Brief Introduction

 Variable frequency speed regulation motors are manufactured in accordance with the Chinese standard GB755-2008, “Rotating Electrical Machines — Rating and Performance,” which is equivalent to IEC 60034-1:2004.

A variable frequency speed regulation motor is an energy-efficient motor designed to operate with a frequency converter. By adjusting the output frequency of the inverter, the motor can run at different speeds and deliver different torque levels to match changing load requirements. Compared with conventional squirrel cage motors, variable frequency motors are usually optimized with an independent cooling fan instead of a traditional fan system, and their winding insulation performance is also improved for better inverter-duty operation.

With the rapid expansion of frequency converters in industrial automation, YVF2 series VFD blower motors are now used more and more widely. In fact, in many applications where frequency control is required, variable frequency motors have become the preferred choice because they perform better than standard motors under speed regulation conditions.

From the appearance, one clear difference from a standard AC motor is the extra junction box on the NDE side fan cover. This junction box is used for connecting the separate fan motor. A parameter chart for the fan motor is shown below.

To meet the needs of variable speed control systems, new types of electric motors continue to be developed. These motors are designed beyond the traditional concept of fixed magnetic fields, using a combination of motor structure and control technology to create magnetic field variation that drives rotor rotation more efficiently.
